EWC 4U Web Page Creation |
The creation of your WEB PAGE is an ongoing process. There should never be a "dull" moment in this class as you can always be upgrading your web page when you're not feeling creative.
The web page is a serious undertaking and well worth your time (especially since it
is evaluated).
Suggestions for a successful site:
 | Create an index page with few graphics and a small-sized background image (less than 10K) |
| Make sure your background (colour/image) and text colour "work" together |
| Use lower case for all file names and do NOT use spaces (use_the_underscore) |
There are several ways to create web pages for this course:
| MacroMedia Dream Weaver MX |
| HTML (if you know how) |
| Corel WordPerfect (*shudder...) |
Here are some things that you will want to do:
| Create a home page called index.htm and link to other pages from there |
| Create separate pages for assignments, folder and independent study
(and ?) |
| Experiment with tables to place things where you want them on your page |
Some No-No's:
NO PROFANITY
NO PORN (or bikini-clad bimbos)
NO money-making ventures
NO linking to "questionable" sites...
