General

• Never 'prop' open the front doors or any entrance / exit door in the building.
• Always stop when entering or exiting the parking garage to ensure that someone doesn't walk through the open gate
• Never let someone into the building you don't recognize as a tenant or owner

Key Fobs

Please note that the building manager will NOT release keys or key fobs to rental tenants.  It is the suite owner's responsibility to ensure your tenants have the necessary keys or fobs.  Each unit can have a maximum of 4 key fobs.  If you are above 4 fobs issued to your unit, one fob will have to be deleted before another can be purchased or activated.

Stairwell Locks

Stairwell access doors are now locked on the stairwell side. This will tie-in with the upcoming Elevator Key FOB System to permit access to residential floors only to residents of that floor. For obvious reasons (fire code), the doors leading into the stairways are always unlocked.

In the future, due to residents doing laundry on many floors at once, council is entertaining that you will need your key fob to access your own floor laundry room or the laundry room doors will be standard key locked and each resident will only have access to the laundry facilities on their floor.

Building & Elevator FOB System

Due to the high volume of traffic, the front door is effectively always open most of the day.

Many people ‘tailgate’ their way into the building, bypassing security and rendering the front door FOB security system useless. Once in the building, people are free to roam nearly anywhere they please.

The new elevator FOB system will now require people to use their FOB before they can travel to their floor. This provides a second, more precise security barrier. (Any resident with a legitimate reason to visit another floor will be granted access on their FOB – submit a written request to council via the building manager’s office.)

Elevator FOB systems are standard on all new buildings. They are perceived as a cost-effective, non-invasive security measure. We expect that the investment will add to the value of the building and increase it’s attractiveness to both renters and home buyers.

24 Hour Cameras

The Building is equipped with 24 hour surveillance camera and recording system.  This system covers all points of entrance and exit.
