In September 2008, The Calgary International Airport Pipe Band performed
at the airport for the arrivals of the delegates and dignitaries to the
2008 Conference of Defence Ministers of the Americas held in Banff, Alberta.
As it turned out, one of the Canadian conference participants,
Canadian Forces Major General M. J. Ward, CD., is a piper himself.
The band was honored to share a special moment when he played with us during a break.
