Bumblz began as a sketch on a napkin
by Ed konyha. Ed modeled the early versions of the characters on the
computer and presented them to Brainchild Studios – the company he was a
partner in at the time. His brother Dan, also with Brainchild, contributed
character development and wrote some stories around the idea. Their friend
and colleague Dag Livgard, contributed the music completing the vision for
the show. Soon after, the pilot show, “Clubhouse Friends” was completed.
In 2004 Ed, Dan and Dag formed Bumblz Media – a company dedicated to
creating high quality, non-violent entertainment for children. Bumblz was
marketed direct to home through retail outlets and a grassroots campaign
and today the Bumblz franchise is growing with the addition of two music
CDs based on the animated series as well as a new 30 minute DVD just
released this Feb. 2008 called “The Pirate’s Treasure”. With a growing
popularity, the creators look forward to including you as a Bumblz fan!!

Dag Livgard was born in Vancouver, BC
in 1959. He started playing guitar at the age of twelve, and in his late
teens he was writing his own music and playing coffee houses in BC’s Lower
Mainland.
In his twenties, Dag trained
privately in opera performing numerous recitals around Vancouver while
continuing his interest in folk, barbershop, country, and rock and roll.
In 2001, he recorded an original country CD under the pseudonym Devan
Black and one of the singles from that album, The Bridge,
received radio airplay in Canada for a year.
In 2005, Dag teamed up with writer
and lyricist Dan Konyha and the duo began writing songs for a children’s
music CD based on the characters in the 3D animated series Bumblz.
The CD, called Bumblz Tunes: Songs in the Key of Bee, was created
with the intention of making music that both children and their parents
could enjoy together.
Bumblz Tunes: Songs in the Key of
Bee is available through independent retailers across Canada.
In 2007, the follow up CD Bumblz
Tunes: The Bee Sides was released. Contributing lyrics to the new CD
was Ed Konyha – Dan’s brother and the original creator of the Bumblz
series.
Today, Dag lives in Vancouver BC with
his wife Julie and sons, Sean and Cole. He is co-founder and the Music
Director for Bumblz Media, a Vancouver based company that is dedicated to
creating high quality, non-violent entertainment for children.
