I have made
this website to help educate new budgie owners on how to raise their little
bundle of feathers. There is a lot of research that must be done so you can be
fully ready to raise a budgie(s). Although small, they are a huge responsibility
and there's many factors to consider before buying one like how much time you're
willing to spend with them. Are you ready to take
on the responsibility of a live animal? Can you give it love and and a good life
for as long as it lives? Please take time to answer these questions before you
buy a bird. Also visit other website, discussion forums and read lots of book
before buying a budgie.
Now let me brag about my cute little budgies (I won't be too long). I have two budgies, Vanilla and Bubbles. I bought both of them at a chain store, Petcetera on July 4, 2002. Vanilla is a Sky Blue Recessive Pied and Bubbles is a Normal Sky blue. Their age is guessed to be around 1 year and 4 months. Bubbles is a female and Vanilla, though I won't know for sure unless he's DNA sexed (he's a recessive), I think is a male judging from his behavior. They're so playful and cute it kills. Vanilla is a shy quiet little thing while Bubbles is more of playful daring girl. They both love fruits and veggies, broccoli being their favorite and of course their most favorite thing to eat is spray millet. They are tamed to an extent. They'll sit with me and perch on me with no hesitancy if they don't see their cage. Bubbles likes taking bathes on the other hand Vanilla doesn't. I love them both to death and God knows what I would do if they died.
