We met for a great breakfast at Smitty's on Pembina highway around 10:00 am, and then headed to the field around noon. Todd Lyall flew his Zagi 3 times, Mike Belliveau flew his electric "Old Timer" and Don McLaren and Michel Bremault got the Piper Cub running. They had a great take-off using the Cub's floats on top of the deep snow. Mark Hillis dropped by on his sled to say hello, and the little people stayed warm in Michel's van. It was pretty cold, but still lots of fun. The day was a success as there were no "first crash of the year" trophies handed out. Thanks to all that showed up to fly or watch! |
