Big Sky Pilot Projects

Here we will feature some of our club members current building projects in various stages.
Send me your images and I will post them for everyone to see.

ROBERT CHESNEY
Here are some photos of Rob's Carl Goldberg Sukhoi under construction, and an image of the completed project.
It looks great, and should be very visible in the air. (click on the image to enlarge)

TODD LYALL
Here are some images of the Great Planes Tracer I built and finally flew last season. The Tracer flies like it is on rails, and thanks to Michel Bremault the OS 70 4-stroke in it runs great. It is a shame that this kit is discontinued, as it really goes together quite well, and is a pleasure to fly. (click on the image to enlarge)
JEFF WOOD
Here are some images of Jeff's new Gremlin. The Gremlin is built from a "wire-cut" foam wing, and the fuselage is made from a square piece of PVC downspout. The tail surfaces are sheet balsa and the engine tray is cut from plywood. The plane was designed for air combat, as it is cheap to build and easy to put together and repair. The Gremlin has no landing gear, so it is hand launched and landed on its belly.

JIM PURCHA
Here are some images of Jim Purcha's Kraftkit Four Seasons 40 trainer under construction. It's great to see someone actually building a great old trainer (there are too many cheap ARF's out there). I'm sure it will fly better than any ARF, and hope we get to see it in the air this summer. (click on the image to enlarge)
