This Band of Brothers project is rather a big one.   There are too many great characters!    It is hard to do justice to all of them.  The series was beautifully done and I find myself going back and watching the episodes with even  greater interest.  I wish there were more episodes!
The three characters above came together serendipitously as I did not start off with the intent of having them as a group.  I started working on  Perconte after watching a scene where he was helping a wounded buddy in the "Bastogne" episode.    The inspiration for Randleman and Luz came from the same episode when they went out on a reconnaissance patrol.

I made the M43 uniform from an old cotton twill shirt of the correct colour.  It is a pleasure to sew with cotton as it is far  easier to manipulate than wool.  The OD scarfs are of wool fabric.    The 101 st shoulder patch was printed on "June Taylor" fabric on my ink jet printer.  Many years ago ,a friend  had screen printed the U.S. Army chevrons for me.  I like the subdued colour more than what is available at the e-tailers.  I had stocked up a good supply of the Dragon M36 suspenders  a few years back when they were abundant and inexpensive.

The rest George Luz's webbing is from Dragon.  The field radio is the one that came with the 21st Century Toys War Eagle Jeep.   Of course I had to make some modifications and   added more details.  The control panel had to be re-done and the antenna was extended with a guitar string (low "E").  I had to add and detail the buckle clips and straps and then finally a new paint job.  Another 21st Century Toys item is the M1A1 carbine that George Luz carries.   It needed some refining , a new strap and  a good paint job.

I  have also made the M23 standard WW2 cartridge belts.  The one on Randleman, the flaps were a little too small.
I made the corrections on the one for Perconte.  For both Randleman and Peconte I used some old Dragon M1 Garand that I have re- painted and placed new slings on.  For the boots, I used the Dragon U.S. 2 buckle boots for Randleman and Luz while for Perconte, I used the bbi  Corcoran jump boots which I have re-painted.

The final 3 photographs show another view of Randleman.  The next photograph shows the  microphone/receiver for Luz's radio which was taken from an old GI Joe radio set.  The final photograph is of  Perconte's toothbrush made from urethane resin with the bristles embedded into it before everything sets.
Lastly, the body modifications are as follows.   For Randleman, I used a Dragon body with the legs lengthened and chest and shoulders reduced.   The abdomen and thighs were then  padded for bulk.   For Luz, I used also a Dragon body, the chest and shoulders reduced and the legs shortened.  For  Perconte, I used an Ignite body, shoulders and chest reduced, legs and waist shortened.  The hands for Perconte, I used a modified "Twisting Toys" right hand and a DID left hand.
The techniques for body modifications are detailed on my "Paragon" site.
