Welcome to my  Battlefields website which is devoted to 1/6th scale figure modelling of the World War Two era.  It has been 10 years since the creation of this site and needless to say there has been many changes to the hobby.   Techniques and approaches to this hobby has evolved over the years but the basic premise remains the same . The objective has always been to create as realistic a figure as possible. The process can be labourious, exciting and limited only to one's innovative imagination.
When I started this hobby over a decade ago, during a time when parts and accessaries were simply not available I needed to learn sewing , mold making and casting, and basic construction techniques that a new comer to this hobby today nolonger need to.    However this information has proven to be invaluable
for me and has given me more confidence that I may continue this hobby despite periodic scarcity of parts. To learn more about this hobby I encourage those who are interested to join the many discussion forums(listed below) because it is there where many talented artisans  discuss their approaches to this great past time.
