Descendants of Malcolm McGregor and Janet Campbell

Campbell and McGegor: the most famous names in Scotland! Malcolm McGregor of Perthshire, Scotland was married to Janet Campbell of Killin on Loch Tay in 1800 at Kenmore. It's possible that the family were turned out in the "clearings." At any rate, Malcolm was a "boatman" when the 1841 census was taken. That was the same year the family emigrated to Canada. Malcolm died at sea at the age of 78. Janet and her children settled in Grey County near Owen Sound. Her daughter Mary McGregor was the second wife of Thomas P. Mitchell.
