Angel's Celebrity Charity Cookbook

This is my latest fundraising project.  The money raised from the sale of this cookbook will be shared between Variety, The Children's Charity and Pediatric Care at 3 Vancouver Island Hospitals; West Coast General Hospital, Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and Victoria General Hospital.

The Webster’s Dictionary definition of ‘celebrity’ : those we celebrate.  From this we developed the list of those who were asked to contribute to Angel’s Celebrity Charity Cookbook.

This book contains submissions from 'Provincial, National, and Global Celebrities such as Brendan Morrison from the Washington Capitals, Steve Darling Global BC Morning News Anchor, Travis Cross Olympian, Robert Bateman Artist, Rick Hansen 'Man in Motion', Claire Newell Travel Consultant, actor Barry Pepper, Erin Cebula  co-host of ET Canada, Paul Brandt Country Music Artist and many many more.

I have also collected recipes from 'Local Vancouver Island Celebrities'as well as some of the people who make a difference in their communities by fundraising and regularly volunteering to help other people.  My book features recipes from the "Island Coin Drive Girls" Hannah, and Mackenzie and myself.  As well as recipes from my friends who became superhero's when they fought life threatening medical battles.  It also features young athletes who are rising stars in their sport as well as young musical performers who are just stepping out into the music industry.

Our initial goal was to make this cookbook to into a 'coffee table' book.  We wanted to make it into something people would pick up to read and enjoy completely from cover to cover.  In order to do that we asked contributors to include the following information in their submission, the recipe, their photo, their bio in brief and a short story about why they enjoy the recipe they've submitted.  This book is absolutely beautiful and is everything we had hoped it would be.  Houle Printing has created a truly magnificent work of heart.  Thank you Kristi, Dennis and Toosha for your dedication to helping the kids in our province.
