necklaceI have been an artist of some type all of my life. Was born in the US but have adopted this wonderful country as my home for the past 29 years.

My art has always reflected who I am. In my younger years it was drawing and painting and then as a young adult I discovered clay and was a potter/clay artist for 35 years. During this time I also made ooak jewellery from clay and semi-precious stones. About ten years ago my husband and I decided to move into a motor home and travel. Sold my pottery studio and equipment and found I needed something to do artistically while travelling. Jewellery was the easiest to do in a small space.

When we decided to settle down again and while perusing a beading magazine, I discovered a fine artists of polymer clay beads. Her name is Christie Freisen and I haven’t turned back since. I LOVE the colors I can mix and all the different things I can create. I do everything from sculpting to covered vessels to beads and make jewellery from them also. I have only been doing this for three years and there is STILL so much to learn. Learning is a joy to me. My great grandfather always said, “ If I can learn just one thing daily, my life is worth living.” And so it is with me.
