The Propane System
The container was built and placed in position and mounted in the rear bay on the passenger side. A two inch hole was drilled thru' the floor and a piece of ABS pipe was sealed into the opening from the top side as well as the underside. This maintains the the integrity of the floor with respect to water getting into places where it shouldn't. The hole was placed in the center of the container and which allows both tanks to sit on either side.
A crossover switch was installed which allows the tanks to to connected and allows for a choice of tank utilization. A twenty and/or thirty pound capacity tank can be used.
Copper lines connected to the crossover take the gas to the the stove and fridge above..
Consideration was given to mounting a permanent tank in the bay, but was rejected due to the fact the when you ran out of propane you would have to take the coach to a propane source. This could pose a bit of a problem if you were parked for a period of time.
