Our past

|
We are not strangers to the world of Rving or camping. We started with a tent, and graduated to a tent trailer. We were active members in a local camping club (The Winnipeg Nomads) and still belong to the Canadian Northern Lites (Winnipeg MB chapter of the FMCA). We did a conversion on a 1958 MCI Courier 96 (similar to picture below) starting in 1976.

The project took about two years to get it 75% complete. We used it about 3 years until I started to drive highway coaches. My schedule put a considerable damper on Rving for a few years, and we sold it. |

We owned a 29 foot " C" class that was leased to a rental company. After three years, policy dictated that I replace or remove it and we elected to remove it. Comfort wise, it was a good coach, but it did not possess the handling or comfort characteristics of motor coach conversion and did not get good fuel mileage. It was our intention to sell it and get coach to convert, or, maybe get one that was partially converted. |

This became a reality in May of 1996. I located this coach and did a complete conversion on this unit. This picture on the left was taken in the Summer of 1997. Below is the picture taken in summer 2000.

From the Spring of 1997 to the near completion in Sept 2000, we used it every chance we got.
