Angel Whispers offers a variety of services for coping with baby loss. They are listed below:
Subsequent
Pregnancy Support Group Meeting
E-mail support is available from volunteers who have experienced baby loss. If you would like to correspond with another parent, you may click on any of the following, or send an email to our confidential general mailbox where all volunteers take a turn answering at angelwhispers@shaw.ca

Kim has twin angels, Tyler and Trevor, who were stillborn on November 8,
2003; she has two healthy girls at home.

Michelle's second born, Brayden, was born early, and lived in the NICU
for six weeks before succumbing to pneumonia on June 3, 2006. Michelle has
a healthy girl and subsequently a little boy at home.
Monthly Support Group Meetings
Our drop-in support group meetings are for families who have lost a baby at any time. Please call ahead to register. Please see our current schedule and map on the SUPPORT page.
Our subsequent pregnancy meeting is on the second Sunday of every month. It is for families who are joyfully (yet anxiously) pregnant after previously experiencing baby loss. Becoming pregnant again can be a very stressful time when parents fear they will lose another baby. We offer support from parents who have had a successful pregnancy after experiencing the loss of a baby. Please call ahead to register. Healing Hands is an evening or afternoon devoted to creative healing. These meetings/workshops are held intermittently with registration. Examples include scrapbooking/crop nights to make a memory book of your baby, and stepping stones. During this time, we may also make hand-made sympathy cards and angel bears that are included in the care packages given to grieving families. Our
quarterly newsletter is available every spring, summer, winter and fall.
Included are personal accounts of baby loss, information on how to cope, and
healing poetry. Maybe there is a writer inside of you! We are
always looking for new story ideas and poetry. If you would like to be
put on our mailing list, or have a story idea, please contact us. Our
newsletter is available for download on our
Articles/Newsletter Page.
A special care package can be mailed out to families who have experienced a loss. We include previous newsletters, suggestions for coping with baby loss, as well as a special keepsake. If you would like to receive a care package or know someone who would, please contact us with your mailing address. Click here to send us a care package request. Please include your address and a little information about your loss so we may personalize the package for you.
Beautiful
birth certificates are available to remember your baby. If you would
like to receive one, please don't forget to
include the following information:

baby's name
-
parents' names
-
date of birth (e.g., August 10, 2009)

place of birth (home/hospital and city)
-
mailing address
Our
library includes various resources on baby loss and subsequent pregnancy.
Included are videos, books, and pamphlets on baby loss, as well as resources
specifically for children/siblings and grandparents. The library can
be accessed during meeting times. We are always grateful for the
donation of resources. If you would like to donate a book in memory of
your baby, we will put a special nameplate on the book to memorialize your
angel. For more information, please send us an email.

Angel Whispers is honored to announce a new program called Zoe’s Memory Boxes. Zoe Reta Mary Steiner was a precious baby born with angel wings on August 4, 2006. Her Mommy, Shelly has painted some beautiful boxes with an angel bear. The inside of each box includes a memorial ribbon and a special verse. Shelly even got Zoe’s Daddy, Rob, in on the act too! So if you would like to receive one of these beautiful boxes, please contact us at 780-998-5595, ext. 225 or via email at angelwhispers@shaw.ca.
