It is rumoured that Wealthy New Yorker
William Enos never actually drove a car;
yet back in 1900 he knew that traffic was in chaos
He came up with the rules of the road
including driving on the right side,
signalling for turns, and licensing drivers.
Then, he spent his life fighting for their enforcement
