| My
interest in photography started in St.Petersburg, Russia where I was born. My first work was with a car magazine, photographing parts, mechanics, cars, and bad Russian roads. After a while I started doing more stock photography for a small ad agency in St. Petersburg. When I got married and moved to Switzerland, I continued to shoot for them and slowly developed contact with "Keystone Press".Working with Keystone allowed me to expand the areas of my photography. I was shooting interiors, theater plays, and music concerts. |
Finally I arrived in Canada where I started to photograph weddings, food, and architecture.Here, on the West Coast, wedding photography is the one area of photography where you can combine portraiture and landscape, fashion and journalism, colour and Black and White.It fascinates me and gives me a certain feeling of freedom of expression rarely found in other areas. Food photography is my other specialty. The food world is a very dynamic place. I love food and cooking almost as much as I love photography and it gives me a chance to learn and develop other areas of interest. This is where I enjoy bringing work home. |
