Remember or Forget

He’s driving me home tonight, we always get along
And I ask too many questions, and the answers all seem wrong
Cause the things that he is telling me should tell me, “turn away”
But I know that he won’t hurt me. Is that wrong for me to say?

Is he kind, is he cruel? When he says what he believes in
He could be the biggest liar that I have ever met
And as for all the things he’s done, I wish I could remember
Consistently remember – or forget

My pockets are empty, except for my keys
I didn’t have to tell him no, didn’t have to tell him please
He is gentle and soft-spoken, like he always was before
And he doesn’t drive away until I’m safely in the door.

Is he kind, is he cruel? When he says what he believes in
He could be the biggest liar that I have ever met
And as for all the thing he’s done, I wish I could remember
Consistently remember – or forget
