Let Us Change Your Mind

If you suffer from depression
From addiction or obsession
Come down to the Centre and you’ll find someone who cares
We will make a diagnosis
Help you find the right neurosis
If you’ve come to see us, you’ve got something wrong upstairs.

If you’re making bad life choices
Fearing cats or hearing voices
Anorexic or dyslexic or the lot of them combined
Oh, if your self-esteem is zero
Or if you’re convinced you’re Nero
Let us change your mind!

Some who treat the world with loathing
Some who dress in women’s clothing
We can find a name for every mental malady
If they shout, they’re histrionic
If they don’t, they’re catatonic
If they only sometimes shout, they might have MPD.

Put them in an institution
Put them in a salt solution
Maybe some electroshock if they’re completely off their block
And if to treat them you’re not able
Slap them with another label
Let us change your mind!

If you have a social phobia
If you like to practice obeah
If you are disconsolate, disturbed or simply disinclined
Oh, if your head is like a strainer
If you think the staff are saner
Let us change your
We'll rearrange your
Let us change your mind!
