Adi Sara shared her eclectic sensibilities with a new audience in the facetiously titled Fidel Castro's Guide to Internet Dating. "true genius...dazzle[d] the audience with her gorgeous voice and a variety of songs that ranged from painfully romantic to whimsical to cruelly satirical...Sara's melodies are simply spellbinding" - Jewish Post & News "Do you know the works of '60s icon Tom Lehrer...? If you don't, you really should. Until then, consider this solo show by Adi Sara Kreindler...a 'Retro-pastiche Cabaret' with a woman, a sparkly evening gown, and an electric piano. It's just a shame that you can't drink sidecars and highballs at the Colin Jackson Studio." - Uptown "clever comic songs, melancholy ballads, sultry torch songs, and witty one-liners...I think it's impressive when a musician can make biofuels funny." - CBC "talented...a strong voice, a lovely face, and clever lyrics" - Winnipeg Free Press |

Now the July 26 show, which received a standing ovation, is yours to watch on YouTube. The 14-song playlist includes comic crowd-pleasers like Down in Argentina, Vegetarian's Dilemma and Academic Freedom, ballads both dark (Sunset) and poignant (Little Julie), and even a musical tribute to one reviewer who couldn't handle the intellectual challenge of a facetious title. This helpful introduction (Call It A Cabaret) was penned during the run and performed as a closing-night gag. And just in case anyone out there requires further clarification: No, the show did not really have anything to do with Fidel Castro! Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
Stay tuned for the launch of the live CD!
