So Little Time
We have too little time for a
love that’s full grown
So the garden is empty, the seeds are unsown
And there’s too little time left for writing our story
So you tear out the pages so we won’t be sorry
And there’s no time for building, there’s no time at all
So instead of a house, you’re just building a wall
Why do you spend the days counting what we’ll spend regretting
Spend hours just wanting and hours on forgetting
The impossible moments (when) our worlds intertwine?
When you know we have so little time
We have too little time for a dream to take flight
So I watch as you keep your eyes open all night
And there’s too little time for what needs to be said
So you fill up the air with denials instead
There’s no time for our journey, and so there you stand
Fixed in the hourglass, and clutching at sand
Why do you spend the days counting what we’ll spend regretting
Spend hours just wanting and hours on forgetting
The impossible moments when our worlds intertwine?
When you know we have so little
Spend the days counting what we’ll spend regretting
Spend hours just wanting and hours on forgetting
The impossible moments when our worlds intertwine?
When you know we have so little time
You know we have so little time
