SOLOMON ISLANDS:  Auki and Langa Langa Lagoon, Malaita

The provincial capital of Auki is nestled on the west coast of Malaita Island overlooking the Langa Langa Lagoon, and is perhaps one of the most photographed towns in the whole of Solomon Islands. The lagoon has numerous artificial islands, constructed from coral taken from the nearest reef, which keeps them relatively mosquito-free.
