LED lightsaber #7
This is my #7 LED lightsaber. The blade is lit with a 5-watt Royal Blue LED powered by a 7.2v li-ion 2-cell pack though a 700ma constant LED driver. The EL wire is high-brightness royal blue powered by a 9v battery though an inverter. Both power supplies are routed into a single DPDT metal toggle switch. Another sweet feature on this hilt, is that the main hilt itself, has been anodized with a satin black. This stuff is WAY more durable than paint, and it looks and feels awesome. This is the first anodized hilt I have made, so far.
Note: most of the powered-up pics were taken with the flash off. The exception is the one with the blade inserted. In this pic, the EL wire looks WAY too dim.
