Internet Rex for Linux is now distributed in two formats: the standard DOS .ZIP file and a RedHat package manager .rpm file.
You can download .ZIP versions of Internet Rex for Linux from these locations:
When installing from the .ZIP file, remember to change all files to lowercase. (If you are using infozip's unzip, you can do this by running "unzip -L irexl229.zip".) You will also have to set the file permissions on the programs (rexl, rexls, rexcfgl, update) to executable.
You can download .rpm versions of Internet Rex for Linux from these locations:
The default install location is to /usr/local/InternetRex, but this can be altered using the --prefix option. e.g. To install to /home/bbs, run "rpm -U --prefix /home/bbs InternetRex-2.00-0.i386.rpm". (Note: the --prefix switch is broken in versions of rpm up to 3.01.)
